Toyota is now providing Entune Updates via Download for Free. See the 2 Red colored links below to Update your system..
The software portal was designed to provide Toyota customers with the latest Entune App Suite software version for their vehicle’s Multimedia system. Provide your vehicle information above and see if there is an available update for your vehicle. If available, using a USB drive, customers will be able to download the update and then install in their vehicle.

1. How To Download The Software Update From Your Computer

2. FREE Toyota Multimedia and Audio System Updates for Entune from Toyota

3. You can sign up for and manage your Entune Account here...

If you experience your Toyota Audio unit freezing, rebooting or the controls (knobs and touch screen) becoming unresponsive to your inputs, you will want to check with your Toyota Dealer and see if you have the latest Firmware installed in your Entune System. Here is a quick video showing an issue like this...

Toyota has let vehicle Owners in the past update their Audio Unit with the latest firmware via a USB Drive. Here is one such Owner who took the time to share his experience...

The update needed will vary based on the Audio Installed in your Toyota vehicle. Here is a list of the most up to date firmware versions...

just wondering if any updates have been released since this was posted. I have a 2016 Camry with the entune audio system (no nav or apps). I just checked and the current software is UU.11.06.

The reason I am asking is that very often, my bluetooth will drop or when I use siri hands free, it will trigger siri and then drop the bluetooth.

the problem is intermittent so its been hard to troubleshoot. I was hoping there would be a software update which would help.

See my reply to Zayouna above. I think that if you visit www.techinfo.toyota.com and look under the TSB section for audio updates, you should be able to update your firmware via a USB drive. The cost is like $15 for 2-3 days which is less than the $70 your Dealer wants. I know some Dealers will do this at no charge. It really comes down to your "relationship" with your Dealer.

If, after you login, enter your radio's face-plate number while searching your vehicle year/model, it should pull up any TSB's with relevant Entune updates that you can download to a thumbdrive. If you still cant find it, then the Dealer may be your best option.

I could use this update for BU.70.31.

I spoke with someone at Toyota and they confirmed they were going to squash a few little bugs that annoy me. I am also hoping it might clear up lag I have with bluetooth when watching a video.

Could someone tell me if that website would have it for sure? I don't want to pay $15 to subscribe for 2 days and not even have the file. I could give you the number off my unit. I've got a 2014 Corolla.

I will gladly subscribe to the website if I have to, or give someone a few bucks if they could download me the update.

Thanks for all of this info. I just paid the Guelph Ontario Canada $75 for a firmware update for my 2013 Venza with Navigation audio system. They told me that I already had the latest version and that it worked OK for them when they tested it. They charged me $75 anyway. After finding this thread, loading up my usb stick with version 5.2, which is listed as for the 2013 Venza, stuck it in my sound system, the screen popped up and asked me if I want to go ahead and update my version 3.1 to 5.2, Yes or No? I chose No, for now.

Needless to say, I'm going back tomorrow to get them to either refund my money or update the firmware, so if they brick it, its on them not me. Thoughts?

I just tried the $15 standard account and it didn't work. The files appear to be in a "calibration" directory that requires a higher membership level. Considering trying the $55 membership level to see if it works, but would hate to waste that amount of money without knowing for sure.

There was a $40 upgrade available to the Pro level so I did that. Got my file and upgraded my head unit. All good.

Also grabbed all the other Panasonic upgrade files just in case.

That is so AWESOME! 4runkan, I can't say thanks enough for doing this, helping out and letting other Toyota Owners that it can be done with just a little bit of work. Great Job!

So the cheapest way to get this is to sign up for the $15 and then wait a day and upgrade to pro for $20/day for a total of $35. I upgraded right away and ended up paying the full $55 (still worth it).

Or... you could get a Panasonic file from me. If you've upgraded firmware on anything before, you can do this.

If you do use TechInfo, you want to search TIS for the service bulletin for Entune updates. The service bulletin is named "Entune Audio Head Unit Software Update (Panasonic)"

The current bulletin is T-SB-0103-16 Rev1
