Introduction:
Some vehicles equipped with 2GR-FE/FXE engines and a towing package may exhibit a leak or oil seep from the engine’s oil cooler pipes. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition
Warranty Information:
Genuine Toyota 15767-31020 Engine Oil Cooler Pipe 04004-29131
APPLICABLE WARRANTY:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date. Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.
This condition is now covered by a Limited Service Campaign (LSC) ZE2. Please see above for Warranty information.
Repair Procedure:
1. Confirm the leak or seep is from either of the oil cooler pipes. If neither oil cooler pipe is leaking or seeping, this bulletin does NOT apply
2. Remove and replace the oil cooler pipe assembly.
3. Confirm the engine oil level is correct.
4. Start the engine and confirm there’s no leaking or seeping from the oil cooler pipes.
