Something the Techs are starting to see is an oil seep that develops from around the Oil Cooler near the oil filter housing. This is usually noticed at the first or second oil changes (10,000/20,000 miles). If you want to check, you can see some evidence of the oil seepage on the skid plate.

You can check it yourself or have your local Toyota Dealer do it for you. If your Tundra does develop one of these, please ask to have the Dealer Technician submit a DPR (Dealer Product Report) and let Toyota know about these. This will not only help other Tundra Owners but also make the product better. There may be a Technical Service Bulletin coming soon.
