Thanks for the heads up Jason. The link should be fixed now.I have this exact problem on a newly purchased 2014 xle and am totally frustrated. the link you provided to a repair bulletin goes to an amazon page for decals. How do I get to the bulletin you suggested???

Ok, try it now.THE LINK STILL NO WORKING
Were you able to get Toyota to take care of this for you?2022 Highlander Platinum. Having the same issues. It is very intermittent, and every time we take it to the dealer, it works fine and they do nothing. I finally plugged my Blue Driver Pro Scan Tool into the OBD port and read all the codes in the computer and got back a B2227 back door code. Online it says this refers to a Power Back Door Unit Pulse Sensor Right Circuit malfunction. This explains why the door opens most of the time, but occasionally opens and stops randomly. Fortunately, my car is still under warranty and I will be having Toyota look at it in my next service with them. I hope other people can post here if they have issues with the back door to document this so Toyota and dealers don't just brush off the issue when you explain.
The link just tells the dealer to replace the L or R actuator IF the door stops when they operate it. Covered by warra t if less than 36,000 miles.THE LINK STILL NO WORKING
