Some 2014 – 2019 model year Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles may exhibit a squeak noise from the rear suspension. This condition may be more noticeable in colder ambient temperatures and may occur when traveling over uneven roads or when the vehicle comes to a complete stop. Follow the Repair Procedure in bulletin T-SB-0211-17 Rev2 to address this condition.

The information contained in this bulletin supersedes Service Bulletin No. T-SB-0016-16
Service Bulletin No. T-SB-0016-16 is obsolete and any printed versions should be discarded.

Updated part numbers 48760-0E070 and 48780-0E080

This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months
or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.

Anyone still having this same issue? I have a 2016 Highlander that now is squeaking and Toyota tells me I have to pay almost $1300 to get it repaired plus the cost of an alignment.
