Some 2016 – 2017 model year Tacoma vehicles, after being parked for an extended period of
time in inclement winter weather, may exhibit an intermittent or abnormal windshield wiper
operation when initially turned on due to snow or sleet accumulation under the cowl louver.
Follow the Repair Procedure in bulletin 0237-17 to address this condition. A new updated Cowl Louver Vent was made to prevent this condition.
The new part number is 55708-04071
This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
