2017 Toyota 86 Clicking Noise From Rear Axle While Driving

Some 2017 model year 86 vehicles may exhibit a clicking noise from the rear CV axle while
driving. This noise may be intermittent depending on the driving pattern. Follow the Repair
Procedure in TSB 0217-17 to address this condition. This also affects 2013-2016 Scion FR-S. The TSB for that vehicle is 0013-17.


This repair is covered under the Toyota Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
