It's been about 3 weeks since then, the noise is loud and clear, and is always there from 15mph to 80mph. I took it in to the dealer, requested to have a technician to go with me for a test drive to point out the whine. The whine was confirmed and documented, submitted to Toyota Corp for a fix/solution which they approved for a transmission replacement. So, yea, a new transmission for me at 6,200 miles.
On a side note, I'm driving another 2017 Sienna as a loaner, at 25k miles, and it drives smoothly, no noises, and smooth shiftings.
I got my Sienna back today. The dealer replace the transmission with a Reman Transmission. It drives well, smoother acceleration, quicker pickup, and smooth shifting, so far. I'll post again if I encounter any more problems.
