2017 Toyota Highlander with code P219E00 A/F Ratio Imbalance on Cylinder 3

If you run across a Toyota Highlander with a 2GR-FKS and have a code like P219E00, then go ahead and perform the cylinder compression test as well as the leak down test. These two tests may result in normal readings (compression 200psi, leakdown 2-5%) but we are seeing is that the intake valve guides are going bad. The fix is to install the newer head with valves. These will look much different than the old ones.

Just wanted to add that the 2016+ Tacomas are also showing up bad quite a bit now. The code may be P11EE00 Cylinder #3 Air Fuel Ratio Imbalance (port). The fix is the same, replace the head and all valves.
