Introduction:
Some 2019 – 2021 model year RAV4 Hybrid vehicles may exhibit a MIL ON condition with one or both of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored:

* P0AA649 (Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage System Isolation Internal Electronic Failure)
* P1C8049 (Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage System Isolation [Rear Motor Area] Internal Electronic Failure)

The vehicle may also exhibit static or distortion when listening to AM radio. These conditions may be caused by corrosion on the high-voltage wire harness below the vehicle at connector Y6 at Motor Generator Rear (MGR) or dirt and debris inside the connector. I took it to the dealer. It had a trailer hitch put on before this static started. They checked all the wiring for the hitch and spent 2 hours troubleshooting electrical problem with no confirmed cause. They think it has something to do with crossfeed from the rear braking system. I personally think it is associated with the transmission . It possibly could be the rear motor wiring but they tell me it's not that's all been checked out . When you put it in park the static goes away, you put it in Drive static starts if you take your foot off the break it is still there and as you drive there is a whine and the pitch gets higher the faster you go. I could use any help you have because they want me to bring it back and have them troubleshoot the rear brake cross feed.
