Introduction:
Some 2021 – 2022 model year RAV4 Prime vehicles may exhibit a MIL ON condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P060694 (SAE code P0606) (Control Module Processor Unexpected Operation) present. The Hybrid Vehicle Control Computer logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

Repair Procedure:
1. Confirm the condition exists. Does the vehicle exhibit a MIL ON condition with DTC P060694 (SAE code P0606) present?
YES — Continue to step 2.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.
2. Check for the Authorized Modifications Label affixed to the vehicle in the location shown below. Confirm if the Hybrid Control Module calibration has been updated. Is the calibration ID listed the latest Hybrid Vehicle Control Computer calibration?
YES — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.
NO — Continue to step 3.
3. Flash reprogram the Hybrid Vehicle Control Computer.
4. Prepare and install the Authorized Modifications Label
5. Test-drive the vehicle to confirm normal vehicle operation and the condition is no longer present.
