Applicability:
2021 Toyota C-HR
Introduction:
Some 2021 model year C-HR vehicles may exhibit a red SOS light ON with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B15A804 (DCM System Internal Failure) in history during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS). Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.
APPLICABLE WARRANTY:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service dat Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.
Repair Procedure:
1. Confirm the condition exists.
Does the vehicle exhibit a red SOS light ON with DTC B15A804 in history?
YES — Continue to step 2.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.
2. Using Techstream, clear the DTC.
3. Cycle the ignition to IG-OFF, then to IG-ON.
4. Check the status of the SOS lights.
Do the SOS lights complete the bulb check ending with the green SOS light ON?
YES — The Repair Procedure is complete.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.
