APPLICABLE VEHICLES:
2021 Toyota Tacoma
CONDITION:
Some 2021 model year Tacoma vehicles equipped with Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control without the Seat Heater Option may have DTC B14C0 and B14C1 (Right/Left Front Seat Heater Circuit) stored in the Air Conditioning Amplifier.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
DTC B14C0 and B14C1 are designed to indicate if there is a problem with the seat heater circuit. The software logic in the Air Conditioning Amplifier may result in these DTCs present on vehicles which are not equipped with seat heaters. Use the procedure below to determine if troubleshooting is necessary.
Confirm if switches are present:
Yes – Troubleshoot DTC per RM:
SEAT: SEAT HEATER SYSTEM: B14C0; Front Right Seat Heat Sensor Circuit; 2016 - 2021 MY Tacoma [08/2015 - ]
SEAT: SEAT HEATER SYSTEM: B14C1; Front Left Seat Heat Sensor Circuit; 2020 - 2021 MY Tacoma [09/2019 - ]
No – No Further Diagnosis or Repair Required. This vehicle does not have seat heaters and these DTCs do not indicate a concern with the vehicle.
