Introduction:
Some 2022 model year Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles equipped with the wireless Qi cellphone charger may experience an SRS light ON with one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs):
* B002011 – Left Side Airbag Deployment Control Circuit Short to Ground
* B002012 – Left Side Airbag Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
* B002811 – Right Side Airbag Deployment Control Circuit Short to Ground
* B002812 – Right Side Airbag Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
* B007011 – Driver Seat Belt Pretensioner “A” Deployment Control Circuit Short to Ground
* B007012 – Driver Seat Belt Pretensioner “A” Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
* B007212 – Passenger Seat Belt Pretensioner “A” Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
* B007311 – Second Row Left Seat Belt Pretensioner Deployment Control Circuit Short to Ground
* B007312 – Second Row Left Seat Belt Pretensioner Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
* B007512 – Second Row Right Seat Belt Pretensioner Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery

While the wireless Qi cellphone charger may create an SRS light ON and may generate DTCs, the DTCs will not affect the airbag and pretensioner performance. A software update for the SRS ECU is now available to update the software. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Powertrain and Restraint Systems Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.  Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.

Repair Procedure:
1. Confirm the condition exists.
A. Using Techstream, check for the following stored DTCs:
* B002011 – Left Side Airbag Deployment Control Circuit Short to Ground
* B002012 – Left Side Airbag Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
* B002811 – Right Side Airbag Deployment Control Circuit Short to Ground
* B002812 – Right Side Airbag Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
* B007011 – Driver Seat Belt Pretensioner “A” Deployment Control Circuit Short to Ground
 B007012 – Driver Seat Belt Pretensioner “A” Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
 B007212 – Passenger Seat Belt Pretensioner “A” Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
 B007311 – Second Row Left Seat Belt Pretensioner Deployment Control Circuit Short to Ground
 B007312 – Second Row Left Seat Belt Pretensioner Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery
 B007512 – Second Row Right Seat Belt Pretensioner Deployment Control Circuit Short to Battery

B. Are ANY of the DTCs listed above present?
YES — Continue to step 2.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.

2. Is this vehicle equipped with a wireless Qi cellphone charger?
YES — Continue to step 3.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.

3. Is the calibration ID of the SRS airbag ECU 8917F0C14100, 8917F0C15100, or 8917F0C17100?
YES — Continue to step 4.
NO — This bulletin does NOT apply. Continue diagnosis using the applicable Repair Manual.

4. Follow the procedures outlined in T-SB-0107-20, ECU Flash Reprogramming With Security Signature, and flash the SRS airbag ECU with the NEW calibration file update.

5. Using Techstream, perform a Health Check to confirm the NEW calibration updated successfully.

6. Clear DTCs and confirm the condition is no longer present.
