New Warranty Policy Bulletin- POL 15-05
Subject: Hybrid System High Voltage Battery Service Part Warranty Coverage
Effective January 2016, the warranty coverage for Hybrid system high-voltage (HV) battery service replacement parts will change. Service Part Warranty coverage for all other parts will remain unchanged.
HV batteries installed by an Authorized Toyota Dealer on or after January 1, 2016 (excluding commercial, fleet or livery vehicles) will assume coverage under the HV Battery Service Warranty which is in effect for 36 months, regardless of the mileage, from the date the part was installed on the vehicle or the remainder of any applicable new vehicle warranty, whichever provides greater coverage.
HV batteries purchased over the counter and/or installed on commercial, fleet or livery vehicles will still be covered under the 12 month Toyota Service Part Warranty.
HV Batteries installed prior to January 1, 2016 will be covered under the 12 month Toyota Service Part Warranty.
