Toyota pickup truck sales rise in November

Riding the trend of rising consumer demand for trucks, Toyota’s new pickup sales rose 3.1 percent year-over-year in November for both the Tundra and Tacoma models made at the company’s San Antonio assembly plant, the company announced Friday.

Toyota sold 9,700 Tundra pickups in November, up 1.3 percent from 9,578 in the same month last year. Tacoma sales were 16,195, up 4.3 percent from the 15,531 sold in November 2016.

Eleven months into 2017, year-to-date Tundra sales are up 1.4 percent. Tacoma sales are up 3 percent.
