One of the most aggravating situations that Toyota Techs face on a day to day basis is finding the customers wheel lock key so they can rotate tires. There are two brands Toyota uses, they are McGard and Gorilla with the first being the most prevalent. This post is intended to help identify the McGard type wheel locks in case the lock has been lost or broken and you are needing a replacement key.

All Toyota Dealers will have a Master wheel lock key set that looks like this:

As you can see, even in this picture, the set is incomplete with some either broken or missing. When a Toyota vehicle was purchased brand new, in the glove box was the paper work for your wheel lock set with key. It looked something like this:

Even this information/ordering form gets lost and without that special code listed on the form, you wont be able to order a new key and must purchase a complete set. New sets and replacement keys can be ordered from McGards Customer Service website here. There are 10 different locks in a Master set that all have different faces. These are the faces with listed numbering system:
