My 2020 RAV4 has been giving me this error. I thought it was for an oil change, but the guy said it was the coolant bypass valve. Anybody know if they’ll cover it under a powertrain warranty?

2018 camry se same issue p268115. Replaced the valve with hoses,but code is still there. Do we need to bleed air from cooling system.

Call dealer? I don’t think it warranties under power train. I have the same problem, don’t even bother to have dealer to charge me 90 for telling me something I already know. I’m getting the message engine maintenance required but no code. I had it checked with two different code readers and they both came back with no codes. Could it still be this problem?

Absolutely!!! I'm at the dealership right now with the same issue for my 2020 Rav4!I see this issue popping up all over the place - I just hit 70k on my '19 Rav4. Seems like people need to start making a stink to Toyota and get this thing put on the Recall List -

I know this an old post but Toyota only charged me $165 for the part and labour is yet to be confirmed ( not fun being a girl and not being handy lol )I can't seem to find these parts either. Can you give a good source?

I know this is now a very late reply. Have a 22 Corolla se with 61k miles just past the powertrain warranty. Called Toyota manufacturer’s recall dept and while they admit and see that there is a defective valve as stated previously the only CSP is for Rav 4 in response to the class action lawsuit. Which leads me to the next point…. If you’re having this issue with your Corolla or Camry as well, report it to let them know and follow in the footsteps of those before us to get a class action lawsuit in place so they can respond it with appropriately with a CSP!
